InAmigos Foundation’s Project Udaan – Empowering Women for a Better Tomorrow

In many parts of rural India, women’s dreams are often left unheard. Project Udaan, run by the InAmigos Foundation, is changing that by giving women the skills, confidence, and support they need to build better lives.

What is Project Udaan?

Started in 2020 in Chhattisgarh, InAmigos Foundation is a non-profit that works for real social change.
Project Udaan’s main aim is simple: help women become independent through training, education, and leadership programs.

Where It Works

Project Udaan is active in Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and West Bengal.
It partners with self-help groups (SHGs) so women can learn together and support each other in their own communities.

What Has Been Achieved

  • Over 900 women trained in tailoring, handicrafts, digital skills, and money management

  • Many women have started small businesses, earning for their families and creating jobs for others

A Story of Change

Take Meena from Chhattisgarh. She had to drop out of school but joined Project Udaan to learn tailoring. Now, she runs her own boutique, employs other women, and sends her kids to school. Her story shows how one woman’s success can lift many others.

How Project Udaan Works

  • Teaches practical skills like sewing, craft-making, and computer basics

  • Connects women to markets and online platforms to sell their products

  • Gives workshops on health, rights, and leadership

  • Builds strong community groups for ongoing support

  • Partners with companies and local leaders to keep the work going

The Future Plans

Project Udaan is looking to:

  • Reach more villages across India

  • Teach new skills that match today’s job market

  • Use technology for online training and mentorship

  • Build more partnerships for bigger impact

Why It Matters

When women are empowered, families grow stronger, communities become better, and the whole country benefits.
Project Udaan isn’t just giving women skills it’s giving them the wings to fly.
